ALEXYUS

Alexyus inizia la sua carriera artistica non da DJ, ma da producer - suo padre Tony Chirco è stato uno dei primi DJs italiani, se non del mondo, perchè inizia a mettere a tempo i dischi nel lontano 1968 - stesso anno in cui inizia il grande Francis Grasso a New York primo DJ assoluto al mondo - in uno dei primi locali notturni, il Silver Club (Marsala). Nel '98 Alexyus ha 11 anni e inizia a combinare bassline e drum machine con il caro vecchio software "ReBirth", creando groove e sperimentando suoni. Dopo anni di sperimentazione musicale nel 2001 inizia a mettere a tempo i dischi con i mitici "LENCO" giradischi dei primi anni '70 dove non era presente il Pitch Control ma semplicemente un aumento di velocità graduale da 33 giri a 45 a 78 giri. Nonostante nel 2001 sia molto giovane (13 anni), molta cultura ed esperienza musicale gli viene trasmessa da suo padre. Partecipa ad una finale del campionato italiano ITF ITALY 2005 essendo appassionato anche di scratches e DMC WORLD. Da lì in poi si avvicina sempre più alla House Underground, Deep, Soulful, Garage, Funky House, sempre con un tocco di elettronica innamorato delle produzioni di Tony Humphries, tramite il film documentario "MAESTRO" che ripercorreva gli inizi di Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Francois Kevorkian, David Morales, Louie Vega e tanti altri, ma anche la nascita del Paradise Garage e Studio 54 a New York. Attualmente non ama chiudersi in un genere musicale nei live djsets ma gli piace spaziare molto.

Alexyus began his artistic career not as a DJ, but as a producer - his father Tony Chirco was one of the first Italian DJs, if not of the world, because he started putting in record the long way back in 1968 - the same year in which begins Francis Grasso in New York, the absolute first DJ in the world - in one of the first nightclubs, the Silver Club (Marsala). In 1998 Alexyus was 11 years old and starts combining bassline and drum machine with the dear old "ReBirth" software, creating grooves and experimenting with sounds. After years of musical experimentation in 2001 he began to put in time the records with the legendary "LENCO" turntables of the early 70s where the Pitch Control was not present but simply a gradual speed increase from 33 rpm to 45 to 78 rpm. Despite being very young (13 years old) in 2001, a lot of culture and musical experience was transmitted to him by his father. He participates in a final of the Italian ITF ITALY 2005 championship, being also fond of scratches and DMC WORLD. From there on, he increasingly approaches the House Underground, Deep, Soulful, Garage, Funky House, always with a touch of electronics in love with the productions of Tony Humphries, through the documentary film "MAESTRO" that retraces the beginnings of Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Francois Kevorkian, David Morales, Louie Vega and many others, but also the birth of Paradise Garage and Studio 54 in New York. Currently he doesn't like closing himself in a musical genre in live djsets but he likes to play a lot of things.
