VERON RAY
Veron Ray, artistic name of Simone Ugues (Parma, 15th February 1998) is an Italian producer and DJ. His sound is a mix between Deep House, Indie Dance, Nu Disco and Tech House.
His passion for House music was born when he was 10-years-old, while he was listening to the first vinyls from the '70/80's of his mother, ex DJ of Lignano Sabbiadoro. This sparked in him a big desire to always look for exclusive sounds that formed his House footprint.
Between 2009 and 2010, he attends ''The Academy Teatro alla Scala'' in Milan to refine his skills in audio production and mastering, participating in many national contests where he achieves recognition. In the next years, he starts owning his craft, DJ-ing in different clubs in Parma.
In 2011 he starts his producer career, releasing music on labels like Big Blue Records, Monocroma, No-Logik Records, Phoenix Found Records, Vilena, Urbanlife, Starwork and Maintain Replay to name a few.
The next year he releases in collaboration with his friends Cisky and Soncini (Dog.ma) an EP called ''First Day''. Thanks to this EP and in particular to Veron Ray feat. Dog.ma - First Day (MK Mix) published for the first time by the Italian label Starwork and subsequently by the German label Milk & Sugar Records; Veron Ray begins to be recognised abroad, appearing in compilations from labels like No- Logik (Italy) and Decide Music (Ibiza).
This same year was a critical turning point in his career, as he launched his label Ketrin Street Records, which released music from artists like Daniele Petronelli, Mirco Violi, Saul Cross, Matteo Montanari, Cisky, Steve Troiani, Beblondies and Luis Martinez, ranking in the Top 100 Deep House, House and Indie Dance/Nu Disco charts on another download site.
From the end of 2015 until today, he has been collaborating with RhythmDB for the label Le Distribution as well as refining his musical sound towards the Indie Dance/Nu Disco genre.
