REEZO DEEP

Reezo Deep, a Deep House Dj who also produces a variety of different music genres… ranging from Afro House, Tecno House, Tribal House, Amapiano, Afro-Pop, Pop and Afro-Tech. The musically driven producer formally known as Lorenzo Booysen was born and raised in a small suburb by the name of Bellavista, South of Johannesburg. The Dj/Producer started hid musical journey when he gave up his dream of becoming a pro sessional soccer player for his newly discovered love for music.

In 2010 Reezo Deep and a few of his high school friends started messing around on the famous ‘Virtual Dj’ computer program after school. This daily routine started becoming a more serious activity amongst the group of friends and that’s when Reezo and his friends decided to buy Dj’ing equipment to take their career as a Dj more seriously.

From the day the equipment landed Reezo Deep was born and he never looked back since. the group formalized their movement and started an entertainment catering group and done gigs all over the south of Johannesburg. Eventually the rest of the group members found other interests and left Reezo Deep with the equipment.

In the beginning of 2011 Reezo Deep already mastered the art of mixing and has claimed the titled of being the finest ultimix DJ in his community. But all the popularity in the young Dj’s community didn’t let that slow down his growth. Later that year the locally celebrated Dj met up with another DJ from his suburb and introduced Reezo Deep to the next step he wanted to accomplish in hid music career… The world of production.

After the young Dj fought his way into the local industry, he had the desire to make his own music and share that love with the people. Reezo Deep started joining Bradz La Muzik in his bedroom studio and released his first titled ‘Jozi Sax’ featuring his newly found co-producer; Bradz La Muzik.

Reezo Deep continued his musically journey in 2013 when he met up with an old friend from his childhood: Lathon Gxasheka, better known by his stage name, ‘Da Luks’.
This is where Reezo Deep’s music career started to gain depth, when Da Luks took the young producer under his wing as a mentor and exposed his friend to Deep House music, and Reezo Deep instantly fell involve with the major dance genre.

By the end of 2013 Reezo Deep and Da Luks started a duo named ‘Mafia Natives’. Ever since Reezo Deep has been doing gigs and making music alongside his partner Da Luks.

Reezo Deep just kept on reaching greater rights, both individually and as a solo Dj/Producer. The young Dj/Producer played at some of the finest venues in the Johannesburg namely, News Cafe’, Da Side(Randfontein), Kwalichaba (soweto), Zone 6 (Soweto), Ko’ Spotong to name a few. He also play alongside the country’s top performing musical artists at major events such as; Bekzin Terris, Da Capo, Ralf Gum, The Godfathers Of Deep House SA, Bee-Bar, Dj Kent, Kabza De Small, Dr. Malinga and many more.

The summer of 2017 Reezo Deep moved to the deep south of Johannesburg to a town called Ennerdale where he and his partner discovered talented artists and started taking in the talent to their bedroom studio, and metered them into recording artists.

The duo quickly realized that they have the gift of working with unsigned talent. They just kept taking in more and more artists until they decided to start a record label. early 2018 the Record label was established under the name: Mafia Natives Music Group.

This music group was catering free production and recording services to under privileged artists. after they developed these artists, they set them free and eventually registered their independent record label in 2019 with the CIPC, now formally known as ‘Mafia Natives Recordings (PTY)Ltd.’ and also singed a distribution deal with Gentle Soul Recordings.

Reezo Deep, a proud founder of the label is now releasing music under his own record label, promoting artists and offering great services to young, upcoming artists.
