ELECTRIC DIPLOMAT

Electric Diplomat aka Tim Vine is a renowned world-class musician, known primarily as a pianist and keyboard player. Born in Jersey C.I. and growing up in a musical family, he started out as a chorister at St.Paul's Cathedral in London age 7, where he sang at the marriage of Prince Charles to Lady Diana. Fast fwd a few yrs, he later attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, with personal sponsorship from Phil Collins and a scholarship. He left the degree course after a few months however to embark on a busy recording and touring schedule with many well-known Artists, of which Blue Note Records' Us3 was the first big break . . . he subsequently became Musical Director for US3.

The prestigious names he has toured and/or recorded with include Simply Red, Groove Armada, Wilco Johnson & Norman Watt-Roy, Malcolm McLaren, Terence Trent D'Arby, US3, Marlena Shaw, Art Farmer, Jimmy Witherspoon, Pee Wee Ellis, Baby D, Incognito, The Pasadenas, Ola, Jhelisa Anderson, Moloko, Toploader, Doc Gyneco, Mark Morrison, Nellee Hooper, Howie Day, Noisettes, Kid Creole and the Coconuts & Ruff Diamond, among others!

Tim has made numerous TV appearances, and performed on thousands of gigs ranging from Central Park to Buckingham Palace, Madison Square Gardens to Hollywood Bowl, Glastonbury Festival to Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Indonesia to Zimbabwe to Hawaii, Mt Fuji Jazz Festival to the Royal Albert Hall. Under the moniker- Sherbet alongside collaborator Matt Lightbourn, they scored BBC Record of the Week with the monster UK Radio hit 'Roxanne', an uptempo groove heavy version of the original Police hit, which was championed by DJs such as Sir Norman Jay, and remixed by the legendary Tom Middleton. Tim has also remixed many tracks in the studio for artists incl Beyonce, Simply Red, Sia, Moloko, and Anastasia, and even written the music for the musical 'Dorian Gray'.

His talents don't stop there though - with a novel 'The Electric Dwarf' also due for release in 2019 with Salt Publishing, his creative genius is nonstop.

Tim now lives between Paris and London and continues to bring out his incredible musical talent under the moniker Electric Diplomat. A love of Funk and Electro have heavily fused his sound, also being an 80s obsessed synth genius (described by Incognito's Bluey Maunick as 'the Space Cowboy of the synthesizer world'), vocoder crazy, Electric Diplomat loads his tracks with lashings of electro-pop and vintage hip hop for good measure creating some insatiable grooves.

Having played synths on SupaEarth Record's debut release 'Rock the Discothèque', close friend and label boss Ruff Diamond (aka Chris Robinson) - a longtime collaborator of Vine -heard 'International' feat Lord KCB, and immediately said 'I wanna remix that banger', which then led to signing the record to SupaEarth, scheduled for an early October 2018 release.

Let the Funk be with you..
