AKER

Alim Aker was born in 1994, Istanbul, Turkey. Alim Aker aka “Aker” was first influenced by electronic music around 2006 from Dj’s like Roger Sanchez, Armin Van Burren and Hardwell. Soon his passion for music progressed into professional mixing as he attended classes to learn how to DJ at the age of 12. In 2010 Aker got his first gig in Antalya, Turkey at one of the finest and prestigious hotel called Adam & Eve. As he turned 18, he came to Oxford to study electronic music. Currently Aker is Dj’ing at various venues across Oxford and London including the O2 Academy. His skill sets include playing with old school vinyl’s and mashing up songs and vocals live. He also produces house music. Although he started with EDM, now Aker produces a different genre of music; House, Tech-house, funky and Groovy Jackin house.
