DJ Vistar is the artist persona of Vuyo Magwa, an Artist | Music Producer | DJ | Actor from Western Cape, South Africa. Magwa started DJing in 2008 before moving into production a year later. His story tells of a young man from a humble background who used to collect his neighbours' old records, and a wonderful instrumentalist and composer, his music channels the revolutionist, Socialist-inspired jazz championed by the likes of Jimmy Dludlu, Donlaka, as well as deep house producers such as Black Coffee, Julian Gomez, Atjazz, Cuebur and more.
