MSIII.K

Msiii.K started making music in 2014. This was subsequent to his frequent gigging as a DJ between 2012 and 2014. His first release was curated and approved by a fairly known deep house record label called SootMuzikk.

In learning how to mix music on the Gemini 210 CDJs, Msiii.K's passion for music soared. His upbringing, as a child, was cultivated on gospel A Capella, World Music and Jazz. He grew up to joining a boys’ choir in his early high school years. Msiii.K spent his university years dwelling with the talented Khanyile. Thereafter, he was taught and mentored in music production.

Msiii.K's main genres are afro and deep tech. His sound combines percussion, electronic synths and leads, including smooth melodies. He is strongly influenced by Black Coffee, James Blake and Kendrick Lamar. This perhaps explains why his sound usually draws from feeling.
