SIR MAFFHI

Born Sekgoane Edwin Thato in Botshabelo, Free State, Sir Maffhi is a South African music producer, podcast host and DJ.

It all started at a teenager stage, when he used to tap classroom desks to the helplessly stomping classmates. He then took it to the next level in spring 2007, when he began DJ'ng to a live crowd in clubs around his hometown.

He was later introduced to the world of music production and started producing with Bernard "DarQsoul" Mothoalo, who went by the name Buddha then, and formed a production duet "da Soul", which was also known as Buddha and Maffhi.

Since then, Sir Maffhi has been with the likes of Lebohang "LBZ" Molefe, who along with him, Xolile "Quix Pacca" Milela, Molefi "Leevo'kay" Khasuli, Thabiso "Maison Hendricks" Hendricks, and others, is a member of a music lovers' crew named Nicoti(nicotipsmr.podomatic.com), and a production duet known as 240.

Sir Maffhi produces Deep and Downtempo House under aliases "Poor People"(With Lebohang "Vinyl Dealer" Mphafi, "Dermah"(with Tokelo "Derecho" Tsiloane), "Apple Flava(With Setjhaba "Legendarian" Mosese), "Bootrock Fellers", "Maffhi", "240"(With LBZ), Plutonics240(With Zico Nambane, Mpaleng "Derikanoman" Mosese, and Lebohang "LBZ" Molefe) "Sir Maffhi", and "Dr Mafia" and plays(DJ) at various places in and around South Africa.
