It's no secret that the work of Toronto-based Sean Collier is making a dent on the international music scene. His journey in music began in 2004 when he had the opportunity to DJ at what was Toronto's haven for dance music lovers - The Guvernment Nightclub. After experiencing the wonder of moving a dance floor, Sean became intrigued by the intricacies and dynamics of high quality techno music, and spent the next few years mastering the art of music production. His first big EP titled Gray Matter was released on Intacto and sent waves through the technosphere catching the attention of heavy hitters Paco Osuna, Joris Voorn, Monika Kruse, Kaiserdisco and more.
Sean has since released chart-topping tracks on international music labels like 100% Pure, 303 Lovers, Bitten, Transmit Recordings, KD Music, and more. There's no question that the output of Sean Collier's work is a reflection of his vast technical knowledge, his laser focus on producing high quality music, and his self-admitted tendency toward perfectionism.
Upon listening to his recent releases like Red Mosquito, which charted #14 in the Techno Top 100, or Bar None which came in at #18 and you'll get a sense of Sean's signature sound: dark with monstrous grooves, explosive percussion and deep, driving basslines. Sean's music is regularly supported by international artists like Paco Osuna, Adam Beyer, Carlo Lio, DJ Boris, Kaiserdisco, 2000 And One, and Sam Paganini, just to name a few. His music makes regular appearances in DJ sets and radio shows, including Adam Beyer's Drumcode. As 2016 progresses, Sean's focus is on one thing - produce fine-tuned, intelligent dance music that moves the world.
