The Madrilean DJ, producer and multiinstrumentalist has been devoting all his life to music from all perspectives, but always with the same goal: connecting the crowds that listen and dance to him.
Artist, musician, sound engineer, DJ or producer. Victor Santana is a rhythm selector, a musical connoisseur. His first influences came from Black music: hip-hop, reggae, jazz… Then, came techno.
Victor Santana's life changed when he discovered Underground Resistance's and Detroit pioneer's story. Nowadays, Victor's techno has a more raw character, equally physical and hypnotic, with melodies and tons of groove. From Detroit to Berlin, from Birmingham to Chicago. His music has taken him to iconic venues and festivals, as Industrial Copera (Granada), Moog, Laut (Barcelona), Metro Dance Club (Alicante), Lanna (Gijón), Dabadaba (San Sebastián), Rainbow Venues (Birmingham), Privilege Ibiza, as well as several cities in China. In his hometown, Madrid, he has played in big events as Mad Cool or A Summer Story, or clues as La Riviera, Fabrik (CODE), beside being former resident of Mondo Disko. Victor is a master of the 4x4 techno beats and makes any crowd, at any place sweat techno.
But Victor's true value as an artist awakens when he's performing live. Having great teachers and spending long periods in the studio have made him a true titan when doing live sets, offering a wild and thoroughly prepared experience. Be it with Victor Santana & Band or playing solo, as we could see in his performances at iconic places in the revered video-podcast series Frecuencias Compartidas Radio 3 Extra, premiered and streaming in RTVE Play (Spain's national TV); or his multiple appearances at Museum Day's festivities and in cultural inititatives all over Spain, as Sonda in North of Spain; and Nightroom TV in Andalusia.
Beside releasing in labels such as Subsist Records, EPM Music, Motech Records, Involve or Art21, with the ongoing support of artists such as Rødhad, Jon Hester, Luke Slater, Oscar Mulero, Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier or Marcel Dettman; Victor has his own label, Chaval Records: a sleeping giant that will awaken very soon.
