In 1982, he became resident DJ at the Chez-Nous club, in collaboration with Radio 105 Network, also appearing at major events in Milan and Turin.
Between 1984 and 1989, he collaborated with RV1 Black Radio, overseeing the dance section (reviews, interviews, guest DJ sets).
In 1987, he also became a resident DJ at Hennessy, a symbol of Turin's nightlife, appearing at events with big names and prestigious venues.
In 1993, he was named best DJ in a poll by Turin newspaper La Stampa ("I big di Torino Sette"), with over 5,000 votes.
Since 1992, he has been releasing music on major Italian labels such as D-Vision, UMM, and Undiscovered (UK).
One of his most successful projects is The Groovers: the single "Ride on the Power" was released in 1995.
In 1996, he and Boris Dlugosch produced the song "You Gotta Move," released on Undiscovered, which also received international acclaim.
He has collaborated with Dave Lee, Michael Gray, Eric Kupper, DJ Spen, Opolopo, and Richard Earnshaw on various projects. Many house/soulful tracks have been released on Sunflowermusic Records, the label Antonello Ferrari founded and has run since 2017.
He has collaborated with major labels including King Street, Quantize Rec, Z Records, Purple Music, and others.
Antonello Ferrari's extensive discography is available on Traxsource: he has hundreds of tracks in genres such as soul/funk/disco, soulful house, nu-disco, jackin' house, and more.
Musical Style
His style is deeply rooted in funk, soul, and classic disco, but with a strong focus on house music: soulful house, soul funk disco, nu-disco, and house are among his favorite genres.
His selections are elegant, refined, and geared toward bringing refined grooves to the dancefloor rather than extremely commercial sounds.
He is currently a resident DJ at the traveling one-night event "Soul Heaven – The Pleasure of the Music," which also hosts live musicians and international guests.
Antonello Ferrari is considered a historic figure in the Turin scene, both for his "old school" experience (1980s discos) and his evolution as a house producer.
With his Sunflowermusic Records label, he actively contributes to the growth of house/soulful music culture beyond Italy's borders.
He has successfully combined his "classic disco" background with contemporary production, developing a coherent and internationally acclaimed musical identity.
