HUGEL
Florent Hugel, hailing from Marseille, embarked on his music production journey in 2005, drawing inspiration from a rich blend of hip-hop, pop, and electronic influences. As part of the EDM duo KitSch 2.0 and the hip-hop project Hipshaker, Hugel demonstrated his versatility early in his career. In March 2015, Hugel took a solo venture with the release of his first single, "Coming Home." The track marked his entry into the German charts, securing the 80th spot. Collaborating with British singer Jasmine Thompson in June 2016, he released "Where We Belong," accompanied by a captivating music video. However, it was in 2017 that Hugel gained recognition in German-speaking countries through his collaboration with Robin Schulz on "I Believe I'm Fine," earning gold status in Germany in 2018. Expanding his repertoire, Hugel co-produced the successful track "Like a Riddle" with Felix Jaehn and released solo singles, including "Baby." His deep house remix of the historic song "Bella Ciao," popularized by the Spanish series "Haus des Geldes," became a sensation in 2018. Topping charts in Austria and named the official summer hit of 2018, it showcased Hugel's ability to reimagine classics. Continuing his collaborative efforts, Hugel joined forces with British singer Taio Cruz for "Signs" in June 2018, followed by the release of "WTF" with Amber Van Day, featured as the theme song for "I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here!" Season 13. The subsequent year brought "Mamma Mia," another successful collaboration with Van Day. Responding to the thematic resonance of "Guajira Guantanamera" in the third season of "House of Money," Hugel crafted a captivating remix released on August 30, 2019. Florent Hugel, a name intertwined with musical diversity and chart-topping collaborations, continues to leave an indelible mark on the global music scene.
