IAN KAY

Sibonelo Ian Kubheka also known as Ian Kay is a very ambitious,
self-motivated and open minded young aspiring house music producer.
Born in Kzn(Durban) but later moved to Joburg at a very young age.

Ian Kay believes that he was born to love music,as he grew up dancing
to his favorite records and taking part in a school choir in primary,
Ian Kay developed an interest for the djing industry when he began with his high school
he learned a few djing tricks with his friends as time went by whilst collecting records of
his most prefered producers at the time.

He is inspired and influenced by the likes of
Jimpster, Manuel Tur, Lovebirds, Fred Everything, Atjazz, Vincenzo, Andre Lodemann,
Lars Behrenroth & More.

After completing matric Ian Kay decided he wants to pursue his deep interest for music production,having worked with artists like, Napoleons,Ochestral Soul, ChronicalDeep & Tiyani, he adapted quite an interesting style that improved his production technics. With all the knowledge and curiosity about the art of music,Ian Kay has always wanted to coin his own style of house/subgenre.

Knowing very well and understanding the house scene better than any other genre,Ian Kay is
sure to make this establishment a success all in due time. Now works with a group
of four other producers which is known as Sound Illusionz as a co-founder, be sure
to look out for this fresh ew South African talent with a mission to reinvent and
bring forth a well crafted style of house.
