PLAYONE
An autonomous project by production duo Darko Juranovic D'Knock and DJ Fresh Jay in cooperation with established Croatian and international vocalists. D'Knock is a Croatian top producer, composer and artist, while DJ Fresh Jay is one of best DMC DJs in the world, since he fought for this title for many years, and once won a high fourth place in the competition.
So far, they have published a number of club hits which have marked the top charts in Croatia and abroad. As producers, their names appear on the Papaya Day & Night Vol. 1 - Vol. 5 compilations, as well as on numerous music releases and remixes for Croatian and international performers. They are one of the founders of the "Papaya Day & Night Festival" and owners of the music label and DJ booking agency - Liveinthemix music. Their main audio and video studios are located in Zagreb, Croatia and Las Vegas, Nevada, the entertainment center of the world.
As producers and authors, D'Knock & DJ Fresh Jay previously collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Croatian music scene such as Nina Badric, Divas, Tony Cetinski, Cubismo, Bolesna Braca etc., while on the international scene they have worked with Barbara Tucker, Peter Grant, Amrick Channa, Mick Hucknall (known as a lead singer of the band Simply Red), UK Grammy Award-winning music producer - Andy Wright, among others.
In 2012, PlayOne joined forces with Zvonimir Dusper "Rei Noel", who became an associate member of the band on many projects. At the end of 2013, togehter with Rei Noel, PlayOne established a collaboration on the global humanitarian project for the homeless "We Can Heal", presented by BStar Music Group and Quantize Recordings. One of the initiators of the project and their long-time collaborator, Barbara Tucker (The Queen of House Music), gathered a large number of the world's top vocalists and remixers, including PlayOne, to produce the single "We Can Heal", on which she appears as a co-author with Marcus Fugate. Its first edition includes versions by PlayOne, Frankie Knuckles & Eric Kupper, DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins and Rhemi.
PlayOne have also cooperated on various projects with the reputable marketing agency - Unex Group, and stands behind a large number of jingles for well-known Croatian and international brands. Their long-term collaborations include Croatian producers Kosta Radman and T. Preradovic "Slow Mo'T" as well.
The appearance of PlayOne is a combination of D'Knock's and DJ Fresh Jay's live performance, with guest vocalists, instrumental artists (sax, guitar, conga drums) and exclusive dancers. Combining real house and electronics with funk, soul, drum and bass, dubstep and hip hop elements, PlayOne became an integral part of every quality club program.
