BARBUR

Founder & A&R of Barbur Room, Marco Barbiero splits the time between his homeland (Puglia, South Italy) & Berlin, where he lived for some years and founded BRM, his underground music platform in 2014.

Barbur Room hosted international artists such as Charlotte De Witte, Deborah De Luca, Chus & Ceballos, Fatima Hajji, Uner, Hito, Nakadia, Giorgia Angiuli, Simina Grigoriu, Niko Schwind, Juliet Sikora, Hector Romero, Danny Rampling & many others.

In the first decade of the Millennium Marco played in so many gigs alongside artists like Marshall Jefferson, Roger Sanchez, Skin, Satoshi Tomiie, Hector Romero, Ralph Falcon & more.

Eclectic & creative, his music today moves between deep & techno sound, often wandering in the dark side of electronic music.

After many releases in the past years, in 2016 Barbur garnered attention for the massive remix of Simina Grigoriu’s “Nunchaku”, debut work on her imprint label Kuukou Records.

Infact, at the end of the year, the New York-based Big Shot Magazine included Barbur in the most infuential talents list of the year and to keep an eye in 2017.

In 2017 Marco released "Under Conditions" on Kuukou, featuring remixes by the Pacha Ibiza's resident Alex Kennon and the french veteran Claude Monnet.

Barbur came back in 2019 on Kuukou Records with the powerful track “Its Berlin” and begins 2020 with “Modular” EP on Frequenza, that includes remixes by Alexi Delano & others.

In 2020 Marco opens his own label, Barbur Music, with the first single EP “Lowliness” remixed by Julian Wassermann.

In the latest years Barbur has been invited on the famous Cadenza Source to Cycle by big boss Luciano and his mixes are hosted also on platforms like Ibiza Global Radio, Electronic Groove, Deep House Amsterdam, When We Dip, Data Transmission, Music is 4 Lovers, Pioneer DJ Radio, Deep House Sweden & other channels.
