DAVE BARON
Davide Dante Ferrari, known artistically as Dave Baron, was born in La Spezia, Italy, on March 24, 1975. At just ten years old, he was already singing the theme songs of animated shows. Everything changed the moment he listened to Madonna's album Like a Virgin. The English language, which once seemed distant and unfamiliar, suddenly became beautiful and meaningful when sung by Madonna—especially when he discovered that she wrote her own lyrics.
As the years passed, music remained a constant presence. Madonna stayed a guiding light, while the unforgettable hits of the 1980s became part of his foundation. The 1990s brought new inspirations: Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Pet Shop Boys, and Depeche Mode.
It wasn't until 2004 that Dave began recording songs in English and writing his own material. In the summer of 2006, driven by the need to express himself more deeply, he started writing in Italian. This led him to participate in various music contests such as Premio Lunezia, the Sanremo selections, the Festival of Isernia (hosted by Red Ronnie), the Festival of Piombino, and TV shows like 50 Canzonissime with Carlo Conti.
Soon after, his passion for dance music resurfaced, and writing in English became his priority. His first single, Electromaniac, was released with the project FoolOver, followed by the debut album Welcome to the Show. In 2009, his first solo single, Cool as Ice, marked a challenging start.
His first chart success came with a cover of Freak Power's Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out under the project FoolOver, which reached the Top 20 of the Traxsource Lounge Chill Out Top 100. But the true breakthrough arrived in 2014 with the release of Respect. The single gained airplay on Radio 105 and several Italian and international radio stations, reached the iTunes Top 20.
From there, his career blossomed. Through collaborations and solo projects, Dave Baron achieved 16 #1 hits on Traxsource charts. His music gained traction on Spotify, with airplay on radios worldwide.
Always evolving, Dave Baron refuses to limit himself to one genre. Each release brings a new collaboration, a new sound, and a new chapter in his journey—making every step forward a fresh musical conquest.
