Manuel Tur Dubs (Part 2) of Totally by Shaboom, Plus David Morales and Doc Martin RemixesManuel's String Devotion Mix is big-room peak time massiveness of the highest order.
Beautifully crafted and distinctly uninhibited, this track just keeps on building and doesnt let up.
The relentless groove is so powerful it could dig a tunnel from his studio in Essen Germany
All the way to Shaboom Towers in Downtown Los Angeles. The use of the real strings, synths,
vocals and trippy sound effects is nothing short of spectacular, some would even say visionary.
This is a perfect example of state of the art German design in the field of modern electronic music;
Manuels work is nothing short of genius.
Also included is the Manuel Tur String Instrumental. This version is what they would call in the Jamaican Sound system culture, exactly that, the version, or to the rest of the world an instrumental. In this instance It's the instrumental of his Vocal Mix (shab090), which just incase you missed it, is another dance floor monster.
Just to make this release that extra bit special we decided to include the previously unavailable
David Morales Alternative Vocal Mix along with a very special Red Zone bonus beats mix and
A new 7 edit for all you Def Mix lovers. The vocal mix is a much smoother, subtler cut than the version
That was released some years back. We honestly believe that this mix is one of the
True Masters of New York House Musics best examples of Disco meets House. Its often said,
A picture can paint a thousand words, we would say that this David Morales remix paints a thousand emotions.
When Mr. Morales put this remix together he most certainly did it with love, its quite simply magical.
As for the bonus beats, if your into the whole resurgence of incredible Danny Tenaglia vocal productions
And remixes, which if you have any clue whats cool you should be, this is an essential tool for whipping up that authentic NYC flavour. Its Tribal Beats meets Salsoul Grooves that are the essential building blocks of Classic New York house music.
Last but most certainly not least, weve added the Doc Martin After Glow remix that was available on
Vinyl only way back in 1997 (shab001). Doc not only plays and makes House Music, he Is House Music as anyone whos had the pleasure of experiencing his 9 hour Sublevel sets will testify. This remix was included In his DJ magazine Shaboom cover mount CD that was voted alongside Coldcut, Terry Francis and Danny Tenaglia #5 in the top 10 all time greatest DJ Mag CDs. The groove is to die for, and the use of sound effects and vocals Is awe-inspiring. It sounds more relevant today than it did back when it was first released.
We often remind ourselves at Shaboom Records while fashions and fads in dance music come and go,
Doc Martin will always be House Music and this remix is a fine example, and on that comforting thought
We bid you farewell, please enjoy the fruits of our collective labour.
