“We simply couldn’t keep this beast under wraps any longer! WHAT CHA WAITIN’ FOR... DOWNLOAD NOW!!

Back in 2005 when we dropped the original mixes of “Music’s Gotcha Jumpin’” we received an overwhelmingly positive response from tastemakers across the board. Critical acclaim & charts (#6 on the DJ Mag Hype Chart, and the #1 download on traxsource) worldwide radio play, and massive support from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries, David Morales, Dave Lee, Ben Watt, Sandy Rivera, and Danny Rampling to name a few, were all instrumental in making ‘Jumpin’ one of the most successful MoreHouse releases ever!
Fast forward to the here and now. In honor of our 25th release we’ve solicited the services of two of todays hottest and most prolific producers Jay-J, & Dan from Liquid People to put their own stamp on “Music’s Gotcha Jumpin’ 2007”. Inspired from Indeya’s powerful lead vocals, and the “Sho do do” backrounds (which were for the most part absent in the original), Grammy Award nominated Jay-J with some help from longtime friend Scott Wozniak (who graced the project with some amazing keyboard work), set out to create a non-sampled, live, peak-hour disco monster and absolutely nailed it! Phenomenal early reaction for both Jay-J and Groove Junkies during their DJ sets within the past few months are proving this to be one of the most potent upfront ‘bullets’ in their respective record bags. We simply couldn’t keep this beast under wraps any longer! Two mixes from Jay-J are on offer for the promo with more to follow.
If that wasn’t enough, on the flip side Dan Liquid and Dan Nu-Tone’s ‘Liquid People pres Danism Remix’ is a fierce afrotech, synth driven vocal re-rub which is the perfect ying to Jay-J’s yang. There’s also a cameo vocal appearance from a mystery guest that adds a little icing to the cake. Pound it hard and enjoy! Here’s to the next 25 ya’ll!!

EARLY BUZZ (partial list)

Forthcoming M8 review:
This is an admirable 25th release from the Groove Junkies label, and as befits their trademark sound its definitely a case of party on! Jay-J produces one of his strongest mixes in some time to help celebrate the fact with a selection of good time rhythms hitting the mark on both the ‘Shifted Up Mix’ and pumping ‘Diskofied Dub’. Its all about rousing vocals and breakdowns galore but then that’s just what the title is all about. Liquid People take it deeper on their ‘Danism Remix’ complimenting the moodier chords by selective use of the more soulful elements in the vocal to deliver yet another excellent version.
