Introducing Funkontrol: the new collaboration between Hip-Hop connoisseurs Scott Melker and Skinny Friedman. After gaining respect and growing their fan bases individually, the two respected DJ/producers came together to create a project geared at bringing back the energy found in the late 90’s/early 2000’s Hip-Hop Scene under the fundamental idea that “There’s no real need for more than hard-ass drums and some straightforward raps about
butts”.

“Banker’s Club” is the first taste of what fans can expect from Funkontrol and their debut project, “Are We Having Fun Yet?”. The hard-hitting Trap track incorporates percolating arpeggios, slamming drums and ripping bass lines. The highly dynamic track builds from airy sections straight into sub rattling segments meant to crush your local club systems and the listener’s eardrums alike.
