JC goes back to his roots with tight skippy beats, super-funky bass and live disco stings fired along by female spoken calls to dancefloor action.

The project started as bass over drums jam with a brief clip posted on a social network asking if it had legs ! To say the response was positive would be an understatement. The challenge was to stick to only a few key elements whilst keeping a level of energy that normally only comes from roughness. In this case, the bass sounds like it's a direct feed out of a synth, the strings are real, the drum fills and crashes are mixed high as to leave no doubt this is about having a good time but there's also space left in the mix allowing the swung beats and chord stabs to keep their impact.

Thank you to everyone who has engaged with this release, not least Stuart Kettridge and Mike Millrain for delivering wonderful mastering.
