Mr. Kristopher debuts on JST Records with 5 track EP, “Communion”. US based artist has dedicated a full year to creating every sound heard on “Communion” from scratch. The opening track “Darklord” (on which Mr. Kristopher even recorded his own vocals) sets the tone right from the start. Influenced by artists like Nine Inch Nails or Rob Zombie and the likes of Gesaffelstein or Brodinski, “Darklord” is fused with a haunting bassline that rattles the listener to the core and it will surely find its rightful place both on Hard Electro/Techno dancefloors or among Industrial/EBM fans. “Death Rattle” follows with some very nicely composed strings swelling into a nasty clank, creating a deadly harmony. The third song on the EP is titled “Sacrifice” and was created to signify the artist’s devotion to music and his decision to give up everything in order to pursue his dream, which is no other than creating the music he loves. As the lyrics state, you must sacrifice your life, your friends, your family and your time. The 4th song of the EP (“Ritual”), starts with a scary low-end tone followed by break-beats and doesn’t explode until a 5th hit (instead of the traditional 4 count). Finally “Reign” comes to close “Communion” by incorporating a different style than the signature Mr. Kristopher sound, adding a nice old-school Electro/Breaks tone to the EP.
