Agoria

Sapiens Recordings
SAPIENS001D2 | 2016-11-25
Sapiens is a new label created by Agoria, an open-minded artistic approach: musicians, visual artists, directors, shamans, sound designers, guest conference speakers.
Releases could be apolitical speeches, radio hits, dancefloor tunes, sensorial or cognitive music or a gentle computer virus. Sapiens will be today: multiple disciplinary.

Sébastien Devaud aka Agoria started to produce his own music in 1999 and knew his first success as early as 2001 with La Onzième Marche followed in 2003 by his first album, Blossom,
Three years later, for "The Green Armchair", Agoria summons the voices of Peter Murphy and Neneh Cherry. He will find acclaim with Les Violons en Ivres. In parallel, he participates in the creation of the Nuits Sonores Festival in Lyon as well as the record label Infiné.
In 2008, he signes the original score of the movie Go Fast produced by Luc Besson. He returns in 2011 with his third album, Impermanence, acclaimed by critics. This dark and eclectic record invites guests Carl Craig, Seth Troxler and Scalde. Two years later, Scala, released on record label Innervisions, became one of the hits of 2013.
Followed in 2014 by a new dark and dancy EP, Hélice, on British record label Hotflush.
Today, Agoria explores new universes, cinéma with Jan Kounen (Agoria plays very year at the Cannes Festival), sound design with Nicolas Becker (Gravity, collaborator of Philippe Parent) as well as contemporary art.
