The Gods Clap

Whyt Noyz

Elevate
ELV55 | 2016-11-25
Whyt Noyz is one of the most assured techno talents of the day and here he appears on Pig & Dan's fast rising label Elevate with two more tracks that prove exactly why. As well as those two tracks, a remix from Spektre seals this most excellent deal.

Now less mechanical and with more soul, Whyt Noyz has evolved from a duo into a solo project with David Sidley leading the charge. With releases on seminal labels such as Minus, SCI+TEC and Bedrock behind him along with a much lauded hybrid DJ / live show David is proving to be one of the most exciting new talents in techno.

Up first here is The Gods Clap, a brooding main room techno roller with fat, well swung drums and the sort of frazzled synths that really burrow deep into your brain. Russian Doll then builds the pressure in spooky, rubbery loops and dark vocals and sweeps you up and carries you away in its irresistible groove. Full of atmosphere and space, it is a real standout cut.

The Spektre remix of The Gods Clap then hits hard, with discordant and industrial synths warbling away over thundering claps and incendiary hi hats. It’s a full fat ride that rounds out a masterful EP of modern techno.

'It has been a very busy year for me with the birth of my daughter and the decision to build a studio myself. I'm glad I can shift the focus back to what got me here - my music. I hope you enjoy the release as much as I did making it!” David
