This song was written at the time when #FeesMustFall was trending in the country. Loveness had something different in mind. Growing up she watched a lot of male friends indulging in dope, it broke her heart seeing that they are robbing themselves of a bright future due to the excessive use of drugs and alcohol.

Being the Christian that she is, she was reminded that those that fall can rise from where they are to where they want to be.
