Continuing EPMMusic's 15th anniversary year with a 2016 catalogue that's so far seen EPs from Dan Curtin and House of Black Lanterns, the latest 'EPM Selected' compilation and a repress of Carl Taylor's 'Debbie's Groove' we now head to Italy to introduce Basic Frame.

Basic Frame are Davide Nannini and Alessio Mascia. Davide has been DJing and performing live for many years across different platforms, purposes and technologies, having spent more nights than days in sound manipulation, wave triggering and sonic states. Alessio meanwhile describes himself as a 'music freak', whether it's vinyl, CD or USB-stick, it makes no odds. Deeply rooted in DJ culture, with a clear inclination towards the dance floor, they are both devoted to sound and a common sense of art. In 2015 they decided to combine their ideas.

Mainly focusing on hypnotic textures, groovy anagrams and punch, their music territory is definitely Techno, vast and savage, just like their live performances - powerful sets played with decks, samplers, laptop and machines. It's an intense journey through unpredictable paths.

Having released 'Interlocked EP' on Black Brook, their first official release as Basic Frame, it was well received by DJs and caught the attention of EPMMusic who signed them up for these three scorching tracks that form their 'Manual Screening EP'.
