Sometimes it takes a few bumps to find the right direction; often it involves experience, guts and self-belief to trust oneself and venture from one to find another. The Milk are a band that believe with utter conviction that they've now found their way. Last year's album 'Favourite Worry' saw the band's swaggering rock 'n' soul sound forged with a love of Bill Withers, Isaac Hayes and the Isley Brothers and a rare honesty.

Having supported the release with a 13 date UK wide tour from Glasgow to Brighton featuring a sold out celebration at London's Scala, it seems thatall roads now lead to their next show at the beautiful Union Chapel venue in Islington, London on July 8th. Not only will this be the apex of their live campaign for 'Favourite Worry' but it will also be the official release date for new single, 'What Did I Do To My Love?'

"This song has been getting people shamelessly shuffling around at gigs up and down the UK for a few years now so it only felt right that we should extend its intoxicating dance groove to the airwaves, internet and beyond proving that sometimes good things can come from very bad situations (listening to the content of the song should illuminate this point further).

The Union Chapel will see us joined on stage by some friends along with some fantastic supports like Rose Betts who we saw at a Sofar Sounds session last month and invited her to play the very next day. The show is also being recorded and filmed so make sure you brush up on your singing and you wear that nice top you shouldn't have bought last weekend but did anyway." - The Milk's Mitchell Ayling.

Following on from The Union Chapel, The Milk will be playing Love Supreme Festival (July 1st-3rd) and Port Elliot Festival (July 28th-31st)

"So special...these dudes were compelled to make the music that they make because they love it. I love that whole vibe they've got"" - Huey Morgan (BBC 6Music)
"It's a funky, soulful rock "n"roll banger"" - Louder Than War (Louder Than War)
