Something for Your Mind

Dalfie

Glasgow Underground
GU2087TX | 2016-05-20
Glaswegian producer Dalfie’s debut release, the percussive killer “T212”, was one of the standout tracks on Glasgow Underground Miami 2015 and a big hit with Huxley, German Brigante and Piemont. As 2015 progressed, Dalfie headed into tougher and darker territory and - more importantly - concentrated on making maximum dance floor impact with his music. The hard work paid off and his next stop was the huge “Marching Powder / Purple Hub” on Catz’n’Dogz Pets Recordings label. The support was immediate and across the board; from Tong to Tiga, George Fitzgerald to Mark Knight, DJs jumped on his heavyweight Glaswegian bouncers.

Now he’s back with the kind of tune that has “festival anthem” written all over it. Re-working Speedy J’s classic “Something For Your Mind” (with permission of course!) Dalfie delivers the kind of genre-busting anthem that should have DJs from all parts of the rave spectrum dropping it wherever they go. Imagine Joseph Capriati remixing Mele’s “Ambience” and you’ve got a rough idea what kind of a monster this is. And for those looking for some more of what his Pets EP offered, there is a brand new left-field techno stomper for you too.

Support from: Catz & Dogz, Mat.Joe, Audiojack, Tensnake, Groove Armada, Illyus, Friend Within, Man Without A Clue, Paco Osuna, Supernova, Oscar L, Steve Lawler, Mia Dora, Stereo MCs, Mark Knight, Raffa FL, The Mekanism, Landmark, Graeme Park, Dale Middleton, Brigado Crew, D.O.N.S., Claus Casper, Factomania, Golf Clap, Vanilla Ace...
