Greenfish-Hey Timo! With remixes from Soul Academy and Phil Maher.

Greenfish- DeepStitched welcomes back Greenfish with this new single Hey Timo!. A bit on the tribal house side of things, Greenfish bring us one banger of a track. The percussion work is something to take notice here from the far distant bongos, the clave and the rhythmic hand claps, you can’t help but clap along. The haunting vocal hides in the background and then presents itself; Hey Timo! that will surely have crowds chanting along to it on the dance floor. This track screams Ibiza coming up this summer so look out for it!

Soul Academy Remix-This take on the original adds to it the deep signature flavor of veterans Soul Academy. They’ve stripped back the main vocal almost to a dub, added a few of their own licks and finished it with a fierce stab that helps keep the track going. The percussion is reworked a bit to bring it more emphasis on the Congo drums and adding a great shaker and hi-hat to the mix to keep it deep and interesting. It’s dark. It’s dubby. It’s the late night version you’re going to expect to here ‘round the 1am mark. Don’t take this one lightly.

Phil Maher Remix-Phil Maher’s debut on DeepStitched brings a playful remix to this pack by adding a refreshing musicality to it. This definitely has Phil Maher written all over it. A bouncing bubbly bass line sets the groove for this track seasoned with a nice guitar pluck. They work fantastically together here in this remix and give the track a very organic feel. The drum work seems to have a great snare loop reminiscent of 90’s Chicago house. The chordal structure of the synths brings the musicality here keeping it fresh and crisp. Add in some strings, jungle sounds, the original Congo hits and we have ourselves a very fine first offering from Phil Maher.
