Self-taught Dance music producer/ DJ Nkanyiso Mhlongo known as 'Blaq Soul' born & raised in Durban (South Africa). His passion for dance music began in 2004, and then started producing music late in 2006 influenced by some of the well-known international dance music legends.

In 2008 he formed his very own label "Blaq Soul Music". A year later he then signed his label on afrodesiamp3.com for a purpose of sharing his music online. A few months later he had a few of his tracks hitting the "best selling product chart". Within a short space of time his music became sought after by DJs worldwide and has had a lot of international licensing requests and remixes by the likes of Boddhi Satva, Sean Smith, Justin Imperial, Jose Marquez, Louie Vega, Antonello Coghe, Fabrizio Ortella, Rancido, Joe Hines, Pat Lezizmo & Dj Zinhle.

Under his label "Blaq Soul Music" his catalogue has grown impressively and also his status as one of South Africa's most talented producer. Again, AFROdesiamp3 was more than happy to assist him when he requested help to obtain the rights to remix Busi Mhlongo's works. Robert Trunes who was very helpful & who understood Blaq Soul's style of music, & one thing lead to another and after the huge success of the chart topping Awukhu' Muzi (Blaq Soul's dance mix) it was inevitable that he had to do more remixes. This lead to the birth of a huge offering (Remix Album Release) which featured a variety of remixes by Blaq Soul of some of the most prolific artists under the MELT2000 stable (Inclu...Busi Mhlongo, Lungiswa, Sipho Gumede, Madala Kunene).

In October 2010 he again signed a deal with Boddhi Satva's "Offering Recordings" which is one of the best-selling labels on traxsource.com & other digital downloading sites. His 1st release on offering recordings was titled "THE ZULU AMBASSADOR E.P" which drew a lot of other international producer's attention who were keen to work with him in a near future.
2012 seemed promising when Lars Behrenroth from Deeper Shade Recordings requested to license one of Blaq Soul's work titled "Vision" which was later on remixed by one of the worlds most talented Dance music producer/DJ Karizma from the U.S.

He has shared a stage with a few local & International DJs (incl...Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, Oskido, Black Motion, Da Capo, Dj Christos, Rocco, Boddhi Satvah, Ralf Gum, & Andy Compton).
