Unique 2 Rhythm began in the late 90's as a production collective releasing mostly UK Garage white labels and occasional tracks under it's own name but it was only in late 2013 that the label went digital with the release of U2R's 'Need It' which was championed as a demo by Grant Nelson setting the wheels in motion.

It was all about connecting with musical friends. Releases reflected wonderful collaborations between the likes of Jay Funk, Tommie Cotton, Kym Sims, Oski DJ and Macca D, many of whom the label had worked with 20 years ago.

In 2014, the label began to make a tangible impact with major labels. Tracks were being licensed to the likes of Defected, Good for you and Soulful legends. Producers were keen to join the expanding artist roster with like minded artists creating a unique 'family atmosphere' that continues to be what makes the label special.

Year two saw the discovery of U2R by a larger audience enjoying a label which was happy to release quality house music across the spectrum of styles from main room through to deep in the way things used to be done decades ago.

Today, Unique 2 rhythm Records continues with ambition into the future but always with an eye on it's roots and a roster of exciting artists with an unmatched community of followers that have joined us for a continuing journey.
