S&S Records, Inc. (and S&S Chicago, Inc.) was established in 2005 by 4-time Grammy® nominated producer Steve "Silk" Hurley and global DJ/Producer Shannon "DJ Skip" Syas. Silk and Skip merged Hurley's worldwide commercial success and Syas' strong global following to form S&S Records. S&S Records has accumulated a catalog of over 500 records and album projects from artists such as: Syleena Johnson, CeCe Peniston, Ann Nesby, DJ Skip, Paul Johnson, Kym Sims, Chantay Savage, J.M Silk, Jamie Principle & Steve "Silk" Hurley, just to name a few.

This House Music act from Chicago consists of Rees Urban & Brian Boncher, collectively producing as Rubb Sound System. These two teamed up to form RSS debuting with their remix for Jamie Principle’s “Baby Wants To Ride” released on S&S Records in early 2014. Fusing Soulful House grooves, chunky drums, and deeper elements they have developed a distinguished sound yet staying true to their Chicago roots. With several releases already out and many more already slated, Rubb Sound System is gaining recognition quickly in the House Music community.

Rubb Sound System has masterfully remixed multiple S&S records Jems featuring global superstars such as Jamie Principle, Jameisha Trice, Steve Silk Hurley, Leon Monroe, SNDSTRMS, Eddie Cuesta, Greg Gibbs, Superfunk, Willy Sanjuan, Dennis Baker, Sharon Pass, Clothed Music & Nick Ahren.
