Frenchman Joachim Pastor returns to Hungry Music with an adventures two-track release. He hijacks us deep into the woods, where the extremely talented producer lights a firework of gorgeous sounds. The title track “Taïga” features Joachim’s signature thick basslines and mesmerizing synth pads. A cleverly structured groove provides the composition with a strong back backbone, while the snappy hi-hates infuse great amounts of energy.

Up next is the hypnotic “Amazone” tune. Joachim ties a tight net of reverb and delay effects around the constantly morphing Marimba melody, which is backed backed by an array of heavenly string and pad sounds. An effective low-frequency layer makes this a bliss to listen to on a decent sound system.
