Zepherin Saint, enigmatic producer, DJ, talent scout and co-founder of Tribe records delivers his next dose of musical goodness with his latest production the ‘Canima EP'
Zepherin set out to record an Ep that reflected the many sounds you can here his DJ sets. As he travels around the globe he makes it his mission to meet and record with vocalists and musicians. These world wide adventures are clearly presented in his new productions featured on the Canima EP.

The EP starts with the vocal talents of Adama from Mali who upon a chance meeting, Zepherin and Adama went straight in the studio to record a number of songs. Canima and Obanla are the first releases from this remarkable session. Fusing his soulful feelings with traditional folk songs from Mali and the sharp African tones of Adama with a splash of horns thrown in for good measure Canima is a soulful gem.

Zepherin takes a different approach on Obanla with raw afro inspired rhythms pulsating against distorted synth and held together with the rhythm guitar Adama sings effortlessly on this clash of cultures.

When travelling to Gambia he became inspired by the drumming troupes performing in the local markets. Makumba a lead drummer from Banjul went in the studio to record with Zepherin and the result became the 3rd track on the EP a techy influenced infectious beat.
