Hungry Music welcomes N’to back with another stunning two-tracker. Hailing from Marseille, N’to has found inspiration in music by Underworld, James Holden and Extrawelt. He combines these influences with his own deep and melodic production style and paints beautiful soundscapes.
“Time” is a perfect example of the above. N’to structures dream-like piano melodies, that are backed by mystical pads and strings around an organic groove. The rounded kick drum feeds the track with a fine amount of energy and keeps it morphing. The effects are pleasantly kept in the back.
On the flip side resides “Chez Nous” a laid-back composition that features melancholic horn patterns that glide throughout the track. The horns are escorted by ever-growing chord progressions. They reach their climax together and break-down into empty space, before they start building for a second ride.
