Love Not Money Records has gained widespread notoriety since launching in 2011. With an ethos that focuses on blending the boundaries of House, the label has released music from the likes of, Darius Syrossian, Denney, Dale Howard & Hot Since 82 while continuing to break the careers of up&coming artists from across the globe. For now, however, we shift our focus towards their 55th release from young production duo ReKreation feat. Yemi Bolatiwa who join LNM off the back of releases on Noir and Hector Couto's Pura Music.
Sometimes dark, sometimes uplifting, always emotive; ReKreation demonstrate both sides of their nature with this EP. Founded on a bed of punching low-end drums 'Cast A Spell' is a bold and uplifting track laden with warm textures and oscillating toplines, that utilises chord progressions and a shimmering bell sequence to create an atmosphere that will have you reminiscing about Ibizan dance floors from bygone summers. 'Holdin' 'Me', however, sees a more traditional approach. Whilst an instantly memorable bass melody remains central to the track, the overall feeling is reminiscence of an early Subliminal Records release with a classy, timeless vocal from newcomer Yemi Bolatiwa slowly building the layers into a cool slice of modern House.
On remix duties heavyweights Redondo make a debut outing on the label, hot off the back of their UK top 20 hit 'Love Too Deep' which has been somewhat of a global anthem this summer making it's way onto the A-list of every big radio station on the planet. In their own right Redondo are global superstars and they've not disappointed here with their slammin' Deep House take on 'Holdin' Me' that's guaranteed to be a hit on both sides of the DJ booth.
Rounding off the release nicely is the stunning remix of 'Holdin' Me' from French House key player ODahl who seems to have the midas touch, everything he touches turns to gold! Contributing here with a super cool, cutting edge Nu Disco odyssey that completes another stellar release from Love Not Money Records.
