Canadian-born, Berlin based DJ and producer Ed Ed sees his single, ‘I Got (Something You Need)’, released on Defected Records. An infusion of genres with an uplifting synth and a retro bassline combined with a soulful vocal result in a monumental house track. First up on the remix front is Oliver $. Fresh from his Ibiza-conquering ‘Pushing On’ alongside Jimi Jules, he teases his remix with a lengthy build, demonstrating his trademark bass and beats, which combine and work together flawlessly. Copyright introduce their rework with resilience and authority, teasing the mix with snippets of the vocal. Stripped of the vocal the Dub naturally has more emphasis upon its percussive groove and rhythmic bassline, which highlight the infusion of genres in the mix. Completing the pack is Berlin based Ben Mono adding his stylistic spin, transforming it entirely. The pace is energetic and has a mighty bassline which combines with retro synths throughout the mix, typical of Ben’s style.
