Late Night Flight The Remixes

Oded Nir, King Dread James

Suntree Records
SR17 | 2014-02-03
Late Night Flight appeared on Odeds debut album Midnight Snacker (2010). Now, Suntree Records would like to present you the remix package of Late Night Flight, a homage to all night-owls. Besides the original track by Oded Nir ft. Vocalist King Dread James, we have Berny (IT), DK Watts (US), and Pascal Morais (NL) who supplied us with three splendid remixes. So fasten your seatbelts!

Oded Nir ft. King Dread James Late Night Flight (Original Mix)

Who else than King Dread James could take you on a Late Night Flight? Captain James leads us on his hypnotic journey of the spoken word. Oded shows us how to grab a guitar and infuse a song with balanced dubby guitar-riffs. The combination of James vocals and Odeds live work on the piano, bass, and guitar creates an awesome dubby-feel, yet uplifting and spiritually deep. Feel Jah!

Oded Nir ft. King Dread James Late Night Flight (DK Watts Remix)

Bounce House label boss DK Watts (US) returns to Suntree Records with his underground house-take on Late Night Flight, after remixing Lack of Oxygen. Very slick use of the effects on King Dread James vocals and a signature DK Watts bass-line; this remix will appeal to the real night-freaks out there. The obscure lead surrounds DKs remix with a dark atmosphere, while the drums provide the classic four-to-the-floor groove.

Oded Nir ft. King Dread James Late Night Flight (BERNY Remix)

We are still playing Bernys Argonaut, which appeared several months ago on Suntree Records, but now Berny (IT) delivers a great remix with an obvious wink to the 80s. One could say that he created a Late Night-DISCO-Flight, having a guitar-riff that remains contagious till the end. Subtle drums give his remix a steady groove, accompanied by atmospheric fx on the background.

Oded Nir ft. King Dread James Late Night Flight (Pascal Morais Remix)

Afro-deep-house representative Pascal Morais (NL, Amsterdam) has a big dedication to Afrobeats. He runs Arrecha Records, one of Hollands few labels that dives into this genre. Pascal joins Suntree Records by contributing an excellent remix on Late Night Flight. While keeping the piano elements from the original, Pascal built a classic Afro house beat, and also added beautiful layers of low-key horns, spiritual beds and strings. The driving bass keeps the solid flow of Pascals remix, as fx around the claps and shakers create a spacious vibe. Pascal truly brings Afro-deep house to another level, and we are very delighted that he made such a great signature remix for us!
