Camio presents Toronto soul singer Claude Bain
Jonny teams up with Toronto based soul singer Claude Bain for his second outing on Camio.
Claude Bain the son of a Juno award Nominee comes by his ample talent naturally. His voice has been likened to that of Ottis Redding or Bobby Womack and vocally he delivers with style and flair. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Claude has developed a loyal, local following, performing with bands such as Mystik Soulz, King Sunshine Band, Kevlar, and his own group, Str8Goodz.
Jonny Montana has recently worked on a number of original productions with Yvonne Yannay (James Taylor Quartet) and currently working with Noel Mckoy (Acid Jazz Records/Real Mckoy). He is producing an album under the Collective Spirits name along with Neil Mclean, Tantra-zawadi, and Dana Byrd and also working as an in house producer for Chicago label Consortium Muzik having remixed the likes of Jannae Jordon and Carolyn Victorian amongst others. He's also remixed Alton Miller for Seed Records, Noel Mckoy for Acid Jazz Records and Cei Bei for Citrus Sounds.
Seasons offers a number of mixes. The original is an old school laid back affair, live sax/guitar and a wicked synth solo. It's had a number of plays on BBC radio via the Craig Charles funk and soul show as well as Deli G's traxsource show. Dolls Combers up the tempo and hit it off on a funkier tip that will appeal to the dance floor. Melchyor A takes some of the original parts and creates a reconstruction mix with a slammin groove. Soulchild draws on a live percussion player and takes the song in a deeper direction.
