It's time again for a debut release on Dirt Crew Recordings. Purple Velvet are Chris James who is also part of "Coat of Arms" and Lee Dearn. The sound they bring us is a mxture of UK Bass music and on spot Deep House grooves inspired by acts like our own Detroit Swindle. The title track "Death of the Warehouse" is a true undergound jam that reminiscence the old school Chicago House sound. The other two tracks have a more darker and Bassy feel to them, really great club trax that need to be played on big soundsystems, All about the Boom!
On the remix side we have two acts that are currently dropping amazing tracks, newcomers "Bohemian Groove" caught our attention with their amazing release on "Throne of Blood" earlier this year, a true club classic! Still has not left our record box! Second are the great "Waifs & Strays" from our fave Bristol Label "Futureboogie".
