Some may describe it as a hot summer jam, they wouldn't be far wrong. Label co-boss Protoxic steps up for a new solid EP confirming it to be certainly one of the freshest Phantom's sound out there once again. His previous releases constantly hit an incredibly high mark of quality, which earned him the support of the likes of Roger Sanchez, Luciano and Abel Ramos, he now returns with the almighty "Try Again EP". Kicking off with the Disco Sugar Mix with its deep haunting mood, sweet synth lines, alongside a tight blend of warm pads and guitar melody, this summerish little flow goes further underground with a meandering subterranean groove working around the sexy vocal from Esza Kaye. This package got you covered for the season as it comes with remixes from smoking hot producers interpreting the sound in their own unique way. Rishi K. is first up on remix duties, breaking out pure delight sound for deep house lovers that should fit perfectly on the warm evenings of the next summer. The next remix is from other label co-leader Futurism who keeps it deep and smooth, adding a warm bassline and some tasty touches that compliment the character of the track. Following is a more underground feel with a wonderfully mood by Deepjack, full of those classic influences and epic sax sound of the 80s and 90s that we all love so much. Next we have Paolo Barbato tasteful approach bringing a rolling groove sitting alongside cool percussion and sweet vocals for a great moment on the floor. To close this EP, Prune Flat delivers his interpretation adding his own unique touch, but keeping the moody tone of the original. Another must have release from Phantom Recordings!Distributed by Label Engine - www.label-engine.com
