Solid new mixes of a classic but a bit confused as to what the package actually consists of, what with the W&R remixes being promo'd separately and no sign of the touted Mr V or Peter R mixes?
-Russell Deeks (This Is Why We Dance)
Roland Clark does it again!!!!

The Hype
House producer/lyrical ace/DJ Roland Clark is here once more with a couple of tunes mixed like never before. Dubby and dark "My Urban Soul (Black Sonix Retro Groove Mix)" takes a good slow start and gradually warms up the floor. Black Sonix's LOFI dub treats it deeper and maintains the groove. Then it gets a truly dope-ass funky deep re-rub by Brooklyn producers Walker & Royce. Best known for their work on Nervous, Glasgow Underground, Crosstown Rebels and others, they took this previous #1 Billboard Club hit and ran it through the underground ringer. NY deep house scene represents producer Mr.V takes the button for this connoisseur remix as well as dope dirty dub mix. Sweeet! Peter Rauhofer a.k.a. Club 69, an infamous house moniker who also appears on major works for such as Depeche Mode, Madonna, Seal, Funky Green Dogs, Kylie Minogue, shows King Street what he can do and it is absolutely tight stuff. It continues 90's deep vibes with true driving force. This reminds you those golden house music era back in days. Lastly, Chicago's solitary deep house genius, Ron Trent nicely cools down his massive heat with his signature african-oriented deep track. House a la mode all the way.
