It has been two years since Myles Bigelow released an album featuring the material he performs in his live show. Myles performs his own original songs as a vocalist / percussionist in various ensembles. Depending on the setting, the show can feature Myles with a duo, trio, or quintet, and is as equal in importance to his work as a DJ/ Producer. The song "True" marks the beginning of many cross overs that will be selected by Deep Culture as having the potential to yield a variety of exciting permutations. "True" was a song that marked a transitional moment for Myles Bigelow where the desire for approval was supplanted by the primal urge to create a sound that invoked a deeper and more profound response. The original "True" was performed with a live acoustic Fazioli piano. "True" is being offered in its original form as well as an instrumental version.
Moving on to the remixes, Luis Machuca is inspired to create a vibe that embraces the old school 80's house sound, yet keeps it relevant to the sounds of today. Crossed with atmospheric sounds, punchy Latin rhythms, and sweet melodies from fluttering synths. Myles Bigelow revisits his original and adds something crossed between a Robotic, Afro sound, hence the name "Afrobotic" remix. A banging afro infused beat with organic organ and a massive marimba melody. "True," written and produced by Myles and remixes by both artists, originates in the same place that all honest music comes from, the soul.
