The ever industrious Joey Negro is currently putting the finishing touches to the eagerly awaited third Sunburst Band album, 'Moving With The Shakers' due for release in April 2008. Sunburst Band regulars Tony Remy, Michele Chiavarini, Julian Crampton, Thomas Dyani and Pete Simpson are joined by new additions Leroy Burgess, The Rebirth and Diane Charlemagne To give you a little Sunburst blast before the album's release, this new 3 track EP features two brand new tracks plus a remix of a classic SB track from the vaults.First up is the brassy uptempo jazz funk of 'Rough Times'. Live drums and bass push along a song with not only a great groove but also meaningful lyrics. NYC's Yolanda Wynns really puts in a blinding vocal performance as the track builds to a rousing soulful climax with rasping sax and "Get Over" ad libs. They don't make 'em like this anymore, well not very often anyway!Things slow down for the jazzy broken beat meets electro boogie of 'Turn It Out' which is already a favourite of the house and broken beat scenes. New York's rising star Ian Friday gives us a deep percussive Shelter style remix of the much loved track 'He Is'. We've also included an unreleased Joey Negro mix on this still popular oldie but goodie. This new EP will definitely pleasure the toes of those who love their club music peppered with jazzy soulful vibes and live musicianship of the highest order.
