Jay West from Argentina has been releasing quality deep house (the real sort that is) for the past decade, last years Smile EP on BEBR got some serious playlist and chart action from everybody who knows their shit, and we're please to welcome him to the Moodmusic family. The EP starts with Blame The Music, the sort of feel-good house music we used to get loads of in the early to mid 90s from the Big Apple. Swinging beats, almost disco bass and a sunshine filled vocal are the ingredients for a tune, and Jay has delivered one. This will probably not be belted by the kids house community, but real heads knows what to do with this weapon. Down continues the journey with Victor Simonelli style keys and a bouncy bassline, making place for the low-slung In & Out tune which have some serious west coast mushroom influences. We love it! To end the EP the catchy little Mean Machine finally brings the smile to your face.
