Ferrer and Sydenham having been knocking out some superb stuff on the Ibadan label recently, and 'Sandcastles' doesn t break the streak, with it s sublime piano line coming into it s own late in the mix after a lengthy lead-in of subtle percussion, throbbing kickdrum and stellar synth play. A warm and lush track, the cut builds through the beats, to the piano line and finally to vocal refrain and a wall of synth strings that round this more downtempo track off perfectly. Heller takes their throbbing late night cut and edits it nicely, moving the vocal to a more prominent point, while letting that build of momentum from the original mix remain a constant, with a few delays run on elements just for good measure .
