Following their soulful smash last year with 'Affection', Strictly Music unleash a hot and tasty sampler of what's rumbling out of their studio this year with a plethora of new grooves for the Winter Music Conference!
'Strictly Music Miami 2012' features 4 new tracks from artists of the house underground family from the UK to South Africa. These include Soweto production duo Alpha & Omega ft Aubrey Black, who delivers a sublime spoken word on the lush, deep and afrocentric 'Unknown Beauty'. In addition, Strictly Music's label boss Pat Bedeau teams up with Episode Records boss, Kenny Large and vocalists Shishani & Correspondence on 'Synchronicity' which is beautifully remixed top French producer, Nassau. Also featured on the sampler are 2 productions from The Trak Godz, aka Pat Bedeau, DJ Romain and Alex Toms, who deliver a cool bouncing garage fuelled instrumental, 'The Darkness' and the soulful house outing 'Street Walker'. 'Street Walker' features the vocal delights of UK soul sista Natasha Watts and US spoken word princess Rainy Paine, remixed by London's Dougi Dwongo. To finish off the package live and direct from the Middle East are Soulful Sessions (aka Simon 'Schoolboy' Phillips) ft. JJ with a lovely soul-drenched house outing 'Secret Passion'. You heard 'em here first, hold tight South Beach!!!
Strictly Music is owned and run by Grenadian born DJ, Producer and songwriter Pat Bedeau. When Pat performs a set, he brings a blazing upbeat mix of soulful house that oozes diverse influences from his rich musical background of Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Funk & Reggae. Growing up in Milton Keynes, Pat was first introduced to House music through the M25 raves during the late Eighties which included the legendary Sunrise and Energy parties. Now one of the modern breed of upcoming DJ/Producers, Pat has been busy performing up and down the UK and further afield to Amsterdam, Prague, Mumbai, Miami and Ibiza. He also DJ's under the moniker 'Strictly Music' - a DJ trio including his younger brother Terry and Carlo Nigro. Pat first cut his teeth with production in 2009 when he teamed up with old friend and mentor Steve Gurley to produce uplifting the tracks 'Just Can't Wait' with US vocalist Chanel ('My Life' and 'If You Love Me') and 'Affection' with Shishani for Strictly Music. In recent months Pat has teamed up with DJ Romain (Nu Faze Records, NYC) and talented London based producer Alex Toms to form the new production collective The Trak Godz. The trio are currently working hard in the studio preparing new soulful cuts to unleash on the world working with singers Rainy Payne, Natasha Watts and NY rap artist Correspondence.
