We've being doing some reorganising here at Seamless over the last few months and have split the labels into easy to understand imprints. From here on in Seamless Recordings will be dedicated to releasing albums. We release a lot of albums of different styles of music, the only 2 things in common are they will be good and they will be different styles! Seamless Recordings starts the year with an album/compilation hybrid from one of the finest soulful/vocal house producers around, the second release in our Seamless Masterclass series, the first representing the Deep House genre, Karol XVII and MB Vallence.
For the second instalment of this series, we are excited to have Nick Moss aka Groove Assassin on board. With a long history as both producer and live performer, Groove Assassin has had tracks and remixes on many of the world's longest running and most respected house Music labels including Defected, Strictly Rhythm, Soul Heaven Recordings, King Street, Nitegrooves, Mn2S and Seamless to name just a few.
The Masterclass series show cases the best from chosen producers in different musical genres, tracks they have produced or others that have influenced their production and live performance styles. Groove Assasin has gone for Capital T ft Taymah - Perfect Love and also Phonic Funk ft Tieka - Remember When, which he has remixed for this album, giving them his unmistakable trademark soulful twist. He has delivered two outstanding mixes one which is more soulful lounge, which features tracks from people like Andy Ward, Guy Robin, Reelsoul and Kenny Bobien. The mix is a beautiful mixture of uplifting soulful vocals, smooth bass-lines and swinging lounge house beats.
The second mix is for the club. For this mix he steps up the beats and the pace delivering a mixture of deep house and peak time soulful house. This mix includes exclusive tracks such as
his remix of Phonic Funk and Capital T and also tracks by people like Soul Minority, Roland Clark, Souldynamic, Physics and Karol XVII & MB Valence.
