FINGERTIPS

Fingertips Records is the brainchild of Matthew Recloose Chicoine and Martin Kwok, the former known world wide for his Detroit-associated productions and DJing and the latter a respected elder of the New Zealand radio, club, and music scene. Fingertips first release is the Recloose Live Band- Backwards and Sideways- Live at the San Francisco Bathhouse. This release was recorded live in Wellington, New Zealand in Nov. 2006 and features New Zealands deepest soul/funk/jazz musicians reinterpreting Reclooses studio work live as well as revisiting old boogie favourites. In 2007-2008 Fingertips will continue to release new Recloose projects (namely 12s and EPs) as well as develop up and coming talent from New Zealand and around the world. Currently in the works are artist albums from Rachel Fre (featured on Reclooses forthcoming studio album on Peacefrog- Perfect Timing) and Marcello Pretto, an amazing vocalist and body-rhythm master from Sao Paolo.
