Foliage Records proudly presents “The Nature of House” EP
ABOUT: Doruk Ozlen and Mark Walker’s (aka D’Moov) “For the Love of You” is a cover from the Isley Brothers’ famous 1975 album release “The Heat is On”. The Main Mix is a faithful house rework of the Original and the Reprise Mix a brand new jazz interpretation, produced with true dedication by Miami-based Producer/Dj Doruk Ozlen. Famous and high in demand jazz singer Nicole Henry shares her phenomenal voice with the talented duo, adding the icing on the cake to a fantastic collaboration between music legends of the past and rising artists of today.
For the second part of this EP, the famous producer Black Coffee brings you a remix of the beautiful “So Astounded”. The original track was produced by DJ Le Roi with Lady Bird’s stunning vocals. This new interpretation, straight from the heart of South Africa, shows Black Coffee’s undeniable talent and is a delicious taster for a future release under the Foliage Records imprint.
Last but not least come a remix and dub version of “You’re Special”, the successful Foliage Records’ release from 2008, by Chicago-based Abicah Soul. His new take on Soul Creation’s original with Stephanie Cooke’s extraordinary vocals exceeds all expectations.
This ensemble lies close to Foliage Records’ heart, and The Nature of House EP brings you a one-of-a-kind synthesis of past releases and future surprises. Stay tuned for more to come!
