Strictly Rhythms Vol 2 SAMPLER!
Mr V. presents his sampler package from Volume Two in the new Strictly Rhythms digital mix series, a mixture of excellent Mr.V reworks of Strictly classics and some beats tools rarities.
First up, from V himself, is a cool, SOLE channel re-work of the Hardrive standard, Deep Inside. It’s the track everyone has been desperately wanting to remix this year as Strictly gears up for it’s huge 20th Anniversary remix project. Mr V. and Harry Choo Choo Romero were the chosen two. Here, V’s mix is a deep, warm, organ-based houser, which does total justice to his mentor’s original.
Next we’re treated to V’s 2009 Revisited Mix of the 1995 Krimp classic, Get Up. Again, V takes a deep and pure house look at this 1995 classic updating the beats, pads and overall bounce sensitive to the original.
Three superb sets of beats follow. First, Robbie Rivera’s Feel This brings a big, dark, tribal room feeling then, Spanish Rituals’ Morir Sonando Ethnic Beats provide a much more Latin, carnival sensation and are excellent tools. Finally, the Mood II Rascal Search Dub of Ultra Nate’s Found A Cure is a John Ciafone/Lem Springsteen meets Albert Cabrera rarity, where a sinister broken beat first half meets a looped house pass later on.
